Pre-Tour Training Camp

Well, we are 5 hours from taking off at O'Hare! The past five days have been full of soccer training, classroom ministry sessions, games, and team activities. It's now time to put those things into practice overseas...

Saturday morning we had our annual cross run. This is a sweet time of working hard together as a team physically, as well as preparing spiritually for the trip and the rest of the summer. The players and leaders carry two 40 pound crosses for a 4 mile run with stops for worship and reflection.

Sadly, I haven't taken pictures of the classroom sessions or other activities but some others have. When I get some of those pictures on my computer I will post another update...while you wait, please keep the teams in your prayers!

As with many divine plans...the enemy has been throwing challenge at us. As of Thursday, we were still missing 9 visa/passports. According to realistic measures, there was no way some of those passports should have come in on time...but they did. God was faithful and blessed us with some last minute miracles. As of today we are missing one but have finally gotten an update on it. He will be joining us three days late but will be able to come! More answers to prayer.

There have been other challenges as well and we are sure God has big plans so please pray against this opposition. We praise Him because we know we already have the victory in Him!
